How Much Does an Executive Working with Big Data Earn?
According to an APEC survey, the average gross annual salary (fixed + variable) for managers in big data professions will be EUR 50,000 in 2022. That is less than the median salary of managers from all trades combined, which is 51,000 euros. 80% of big data executives earn between €35,000 and €90,000 annually.
54% of executives in the big data jobs have variable pay (compared to 55% of all executives) and the median is $5,000.
Which professions are affected?
Big data executives are big data architects, computer science and mathematics researchers, chief data officers, data analysts, data engineers, data scientists or geomaticians.
How Much Does a Big Data Manager Earn by Age or Job Location?
The average gross annual salary of a manager in the big data professions is 42,000 euros for the under 35 year olds, 53,000 euros for the 35 to 45 year olds and 72,000 euros for the over 45 year olds.
In the Ile-de-France, a big data manager earns 38,000 to 102,000 euros per year, compared to 32,000 to 57,000 euros in the regions.
How Much Does a Big Data Manager Earn by Industry?
In the banking and insurance industry, the average gross annual salary of a big data manager is the highest at 71,000 euros. Conversely, in the area of IT business, it is only 49,000 euros.
