Methodology:
The data collected by Fevad from merchant sites conforms to the following definitions:
E-Commerce Index (iCE 100) : Revenue generated directly from iCE 100 panel sites on fixed and mobile internet. The Pages do not retain the volume of business generated on other Pages as part of sales on marketplaces. In addition, the websites that publish a marketplace do not keep the volume of business made on the marketplace nor the commissions generated. Finally, white label sales are declared by the websites where the sales are made. Only orders delivered in France will be considered, regardless of the delivery location (home, pick-up point, shops, etc.). The turnover of the calendar month, which is defined by the order date and not the delivery date, is taken into account. Cancellations, exchanges and returns will be deducted; Shipping costs are included; Including VAT for sales to individuals, excluding VAT for sales to professionals.
Marketplace Index : Business volume generated by websites hosted on marketplaces selling products from the iCE100 panel.
Mobile Commerce Index (MCI) : Revenue generated directly on smartphones and digital tablets as part of mobile websites and applications (excluding application downloads).
Composition of the iCE 100 panel : More than 100 pages: products for the general public (100 pages), e-tourism (15 pages) and sales to professionals (20 pages).
Composition of the PSP Board : 8 secure payment platforms: Adyen, Dalenys, Monetico Payment, Monext, Paypal, PayZen, Verifone, Worldline.
Overall Market Estimate : The calculation of the estimate of the total market is made using data collected from the iCE 100 panel websites, the value of electronic payments (excluding iCE 100 panel members) reported by the service providers participating in the PSP panel, and an estimate of offline payments (Fevad survey of iCE 100 merchants).
