Our client, the Belgian company QbD (Quality by Design) supports life science companies worldwide from the idea to the patient. Resolutely focused on quality and people, it provides knowledge and customized solutions in development, clinical, regulatory and compliance, manufacturing and sales for companies involved in ATMP, biotechnology, medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, digital health and pharmaceuticals.
Founded in 2011 by its current CEO, QbD employs 450 people worldwide, including 250 in Belgium and the Netherlands. Already very present in Flanders, QbD wants to strengthen its presence in Wallonia.

You will report to the Sales Manager Europe and be responsible for acquiring new customers in French-speaking Belgium.
- You identify prospects and new customers and convince them of the added value of QbD’s services.
- You manage and build a pipeline of opportunities on a daily basis and make sure you are always up to date.
- They initiate and execute various sales promotions to achieve the predefined goals. As partnership building is part of your nature, you strive to build long-term relationships with clients with whom you seek to approach a more strategic sales vision.
- As a business developer, you are the first point of contact for your customers and solve their problems with creative solutions.
- By actively participating in various network associations, you will expand your network in the life sciences sector. In addition to an external network, you will also build your internal network within the organization with QbD consultants, HR, marketing…
- You actively participate in sales team meetings to define new development strategies.
profile
- You have a master’s degree with a commercial (or scientific) focus.
- You have at least 10 years of experience in selling services (business development).
- You show a strong affinity to technical industries such as life science (preferred) or IT, engineering etc.
- They are fluent in French and English. Motivated by achieving your goals, you are not afraid to open doors and enjoy building long-term partnerships.
- Solution-oriented, you know how to listen actively and ask the right questions to identify the customer’s difficulties.
- You will be able to easily present QbD’s areas of expertise to clients and provide them with solutions to their complex problems, with support from QbD experts if required.
- You have entrepreneurial thinking and can communicate convincingly and authentically.
